I have a 75g community tank with 1 Krib, 1 Rainbow Shark, 6 Australian Rainbowfish, 1 Opaline Gourami, and 4 Peppered Corys. I know Tiger Barbs are aggressive and fin-nippers but I've heard that if they're kept in schools of 6 or more they won't harass other fish. So what do you think?

I think you should skip the tiger barbs and I especially would not put them with rainbowfish or gouramis.

You'd need a school of at least 10 or more and there's no predicting how they are going to act. However, they WILL bite the feelers off the gouramis.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more it seems like a bad idea. I saw some testimonials at other sites from people who had large schools of Tiger Barbs and still had problems with them harassing other fish.

Tiger barbs are OK with fast moving fish. Your tank would have issues as has been mentioned, especially the gourami.

I keep barbs with white clouds and a hillstream loach. They don't really bother either.

Forget about the Barbs and get some more Corys. Those Corys are social fish and would love to have more friends to hang out with.

Never owned Kribs, don't know much about them.
