Plumbing on a canister filter

I just came across an Eheim Canister Filter on ebay thats close by (always looking for local pickup items).

Does the plumbing usually look like this on canister filters (never had one) ? Or did whoever owns this thing go overboard with the shutoffs a bit ?

I think they got so,other stuff going on tthere but generally the inflow goes to the bottom the outflow is from the top with 1 cutoff plumbed into each-Anne

Yep looks like they had something else hooked up. You would just have to remove the Y's after the shut off and you should be fine.
