Fungus? Photo added Please help!

Hi, I need some help trying to figure out whats going on with my black moor.
Late last night we noticed a small white patch on his head. This morning is has grown bigger on his head and a small bit on his back. Its not really fuzzy, its almost looks like a whitish opaque film. Is this a fungus? Any idea what this could be? He seems to act fine.
Any help would be GREAT
Thanks in advance :help:
Update...His white is spreading even more, now towards his back...Does anyone have any idea what this is????? I am worried! :help:

Could be a fungus of some kind, or maybe not....can you tell us about your water change regimine? In any case, Id up the number of water changes, do at least one a day, taking out 30% or more of the water.

We do water changes 2 times a week, 30% each time

20g Tank

1black moor
3 fantail goldfish

I am trying to get a decent pic of it

Here is the best pic I could get taken of his white spots...kinda blurry, since they just dont sit still!
Any ideas if this is just a fungus? The other fish seem fine with no spots.

HELP!!!

OK, It looks / sounds like Saprolegnia:

If on the fishes body, a white slimy, flattish patch appears which seems to have replaced a part of the fish's skin, it is probably saprolegnia.

Been through it. I used the salt treatment. 1 tsp per gallon of water. Run that way for a week or two. Dissolve that salt first don't add it directly to the tank. No need to remove the carbon either. Raise the temp to around 80, although that part isn't as important.

Hi

That does sound like it, we put in some Pimafix by API, it states its an Antifungal Fish Remedy, will this work?
Is there a certain type of salt to use?

Thanks for any info

You can use table salt, just introduce it slowly. Find the sticky for Ich and follow its instructions for raising salt levels. You'll only need 20 tsps worth if 1 tsp/gallon works. I've tried salt for ich but never fungus, though I will keep it in mind.

I'm sure adding 2 tsp per hour will be safe. I added 4 tsp per hour during my ich treatment but into a 75 gallon tank so its a bit less of a percentage than yours is.

Should I quit using the Antifungal medicine I purchased and start doing salt treatments?

Blackie looks the same, hasnt gotton worse, nor better. None of the others (3) seem to show problems...

Salt or Antifungal, which should I do?
Thanks!
