Currently I have a 29 gal planted tank. I am worried about the number of fish i have in there. Right now I have 6 albino corys 2 male guppies 4 female guppies 4 ottos and 5 baby fry and 3 cherry shrimp. I woul like to get 5 more shrimp and than I will be done adding fish for along time. As far as filtration goes I have a penguin 170 on there right now. Do you guys think thats its overstocked? I know the guppies will be having fry all the time but I can just take those to my LFS when there gets to be too many. I am hoping on the shrimp reproducing too. Im going to the fish store later today and I was wondering if i should take the cories to the fish store and then the shrimp will be able to spred out and have the whole tank floor to themselves. What do you guys think? I also have alot of pond snails adding to my bio load I would really like to get a fish to eat those but I dont want that fish going after my shrimp or fry. What do you guys think overstocked? just right? lose the cories and get more shrimp?

You ar understocked, my friend. Very. Your fish will be fine if you add more shrimp. It would be good to get some midlevel fish too. I'd say ATM your at roughly 1/2 the total bioload cpacity for that tank. 2/3 when the fry are fully grown (if they survive).

you don't really need more cories, i think flag fish just really likes them. 6 cories is fine. and i think you would be just fine adding a few more shrimp
