Hi all new to the forum thought I would post up some pics of new tank set up I have for a single Jag..I was contemplating selling the tank but had little response from my ads so had a change of heart and decided to keep it and just have a single Jaguar in with my plec. This is my first Jag so any tips appreciated..great site by the way. :thm: he looks a little lost in there at the moment but sure he will grow into it!!Tank is 400litres.

in the end it may end up undercutting most of that rockwork causing a collapse and possible tank break. what filtration? do not ever feed live if it will take pellet. live food can very easily introduce lethal parasites and diseases, isnt nutritionally complete, and can encourage aggression. a variety of high quality pellets would be much better and if you want to give it a treat you can do frozen foods. my jag is in a 75 with 2 whisper 60s and a fluval 405. i suggest at least 50% water changes at least weekly. this will allow the best growth and health in the fish.

Hi it has 2 external Eheim professional filters on it..agree about the rocks but there is only one that is raised and as he grows will remove that single rock..he is feeding on frozen bloodworm and pellets etc..no intention of feeding live to be honest..

Also the wood isn't resting on the rocks although it does look like it..the rest of the wood is on the gravel but is obscured by the plants and rock..

:thm: :thm: :thm: Great looking setup. Don't worry about him/her looking lost right now. Just a little overwhelmed for the moment. Think about a year or two from now when that soon to be 12" beauty is crusin carefree in that wonderful display. BTW I agree w/ reptileguy2727 a quality pellet along w/ frozen or freeze dried treats is the way to go. Like your style. Good Luck
