I've recently puchased two Krib, Pelvicachromis pulcher.
They are still very small. We had thought that we had chosen a male and female pair, but I have my doubts.
The one we chose as the female(pink belly) must be a male. His fins seem to indicate this, and is definately the dominant of the two.
The one we picked as the male doesn't seem to have as long of fins or as pointed of a tail. The shape of the body looks similar, They are still young, so you may not tell.
It's the behavior that's may be the give away. They seem to be territorial. Is this common with just males? I was thinking that this sort of show would be more likely with two males. They've only been in the tank for a half a day. I could give them time.
