Just a quick thing...
Please, tell the people in your life how much they mean to you. In a blink children grow up, family and friends move on.
A former student of mine got ahold of me two weeks ago to let me know that a young man and former student, had just passed away from an overdose. He was a spirited guy who made some very bad choices and hurt himself.
I was just starting to get over this when I got a heartbreaking call today. There was an accident in N.M., a family I have known for five years. The father was killed, his daughter is a girl who I have had in class for two years and known since she was in the fourth grade. Ashley is in critical condition, on life support and not expected to make it.
But she is a bright, beautiful, and talented 14 year old. God will hold her in His hand and His plan is his own.
Please tell those you close to you how much you love them. Kiss your kids tonight. I know I hold mine just that much closer now.
