I gots never had uh fish aquarium 'bfoe. I gots been into brine shrimp fo' some tyme (as pets, not chickn n` corn bread 'n cornbread!!!). My tank setup iz uh 10 gallon wiff whisper power filter 10 an' uh 75 watt heater.
Am I wrong thinking dat muh ma ****in whisper power filter will keep muh ma ****in tank adequately aeriated, or be I going ta need an air pump? The constant buzzing noise o' da air pump wuz da thin' dat made me not git an aquarium fo' dis here long.
I plan on getting one or two small bottom feeder fish o' some sort, an' uh couple o' small hardy fish. Will one bottom feeding fish be lonely, or iz dere even room fo' 2?
What iz da name o' da smallest hardy bottom feeder readily available? I would prefer uh catfish o' some sort, da ones I seen at da LFS wuz fine *** tiny, but iz dey just babies? Is dere uh such thin' as uh bottom feeder dat iz not uh catfish? (no I dont wants snails)
I also plan on havin' uh couple o' other small hardy fish ta roam da aquarium.
Now, dis here queshun might need mo' o' yo' opinion than an answer. I really gots nahh access ta established filters/sponges etc... but I just do not wants ta wait 2 months ta git muh ma ****in tank going.
This thought came ta mind. Could I gank one plant (from da established LFS tanks) an' put it in da tank ta jump start muh ma ****in cycling? I'm thinking da plant would gots some pimp-tight bacteria on it. What da heck would da plant eat? Doesnt da plant need C02? Would da plant just die? Even if da plant do die, would it still he`p boost da cycling? Should I git both da one plant an' uh bottom feeder?
Anyways, I got dis here 10 gallon setup. Give me ideas on how ta jump start proper cycling. I don' wants ta use those liquid cycling helper gimics.
How bout, one plant, an' 2 bottom feeders?
Either way, any 411 or ideas ya give me will be taken lightly. Just throw around some ideas. The LFS iz fine *** HUGE an' has uh very pimp-tight reputation, so I gots access ta just about anythin'.
What should I do? Should I ax fo' some gravel or somethin' from uh tank at da LFS?
