I bought an arrow crab last week and when I came home today, I found him eating my dead scarlet skunk shrimp. I don't know if the shrimp died first and then the crab scavenged him. I bought this crab from etropicals thinking it was reef safe, which all the websites say they are. Has anybody else had this problem with these guys?

the, I think you probably should (don't like to say this) find a quick definition of "reef safe". It might not be exactly what you think it is. Generally, reef safe means safe around corals. I am not sure about other inhabitants such as shrimp, snails, etc.

I used to have one years ago. It seems like I have read that they are meat eaters (can't remember specifically what, though).

Sorry about your loss.

Their diet consists of worms (bristle worms, feather dusters, etc), shrimp, other inverts, and even fish when they are large enough. I have never heard of them eating corals so you will be safe there but your other tankmates are more than likely in danger. They are nocturnal so you won't witness this during the day.
