BIG thanks to Richer for suggesting and walking me through a "blackout." Check that thread here (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7578). I was dumbfounded when I unveiled my tank last night. The water was crystal clear. So much better :)

Ulvaceous seems to have made it through just fine :)

Even got a bit of pearling :)

My pH is again really high. At least 7.4 and my fish don't like that much :( I started the DIY C02 Sunday, but it hasn't kicked in yet. Hopefully that'll bring it back down.
Thanks for all the help guys & gals :)

Very nice:D
Much better! Your plant looks beautiful! Just a question on your DIY CO2 -- How are you dispersing it into the water? Is it bubbling yet? If you set it up on Sunday, your pH should have come down by now. Mine came down within hours of the CO2 bubbling. It didn't work though until I attached a diffuser (reactor). Before I was just letting it bubble into my tank. No change. I put on an airstone. No change. Then I bubbled the CO2 into the intake of a small powerhead. Worked like a charm...within hours! Just a tip in case you continue to have problems.

Thanks guys.
To disperse the CO2 I'm just using an air stone burrowed down into the substrate. It seems to work pretty well. I don't get many larger bubbles floating up and it makes my PH go down pretty rapidly once it gets rolling. I've been contemplating a power-head, but my fish-tank budget is drying up and I'd really like a UV sterilizer & new filter.
So many wants, so many hobbies, so little resources. Maybe if I show these pics to my boss she'll give me a raise :D

How did you get such a beatiful Aponogeton? I have a crispus that never seemed to do well until I potted it with topsoil and sphagnum. Even then it's only doing okay. Have any tips?
Thanks

Oh man talk about the wrong guy to give advice...
I sure would love to tell you that I have some magic secret that makes the plants take off, but I'm too much a layman. All I can give you is my hardware and water conditions. I just planted the darn thing and it took off like a rocket.
Custom Sealife 1x96w PCF 8,800k light
AGA tank? I dunno, it was given to me by a friend along with most the rest of the stuff.
60/40 Red Fluorite/small river rock
Fluval 204 canister filter (POS always sucking air and making noise  )
Ebo Jager 250w heater.
Sunkist DIY CO2 (They should sponsor me for all the pictures ;)). 3/4 cup sugar & 1/4tsp yeast as perscribed by The Krib.
I keep the tank about 78*F. PH right now is higher than my kit will test (7.4). I'll test KH, PH, nitrite, nitrate and amonia when I get home tonight.
I do 50% water changes every 2-3 days. And sometimes, just sometimes, I put too much fertilizer in it and the whole thing turns lime green :D

Superjohnny - Could I use that second pic of the A ulvaceus on my website? I will give you credit for it, also a link to your homepage (if you have one). Let me know.
Thanks :)

Starry why don't I take some other pictures and let you choose the best one?
I would be honored if you would put it on your site :)
