My reef tank is finally to the point past cycling and ive started to pick up new inhabitants. I bought a green brittle star and i was wondering if it would eat crabs or shrimps i keep in the tank. I heard they can be very aggressive and just wasnt sure. Any help would be appreciated.

They are also know to take fish as well.
Of the brittle / serpent stars the greens are probably the worst choice I'm afraid

i have a little Rock crab with a larger serpentine and I have not noticed any problems but it's only been a few days,

i have a green brittle star and have never had a problem with him. as long as you keep them fat and happy they shouldnt attempt to pick off any of your other inhabitants. i usually feed mine a small prawn or 2 about 3 times a week.

I've got a black brittle star that came as a hitchhiker on some rock, and I've got 2 serpant stars, with many crabs/snails and other inverts...

I've had no problems with any of them
