At what point does a fish/aquatic animal cross the point of no return when it comes to stunting? I understand that stunting occurs when organs continue to grow while environment prevents body size from increasing at the same rate. If the critter is moved to a larger tank, will body growth resume or is the animal stuck at that size forever with nothing to look forward to other than a slow death?

its permanent i would think if the fish is to far along, but i have never heard of it reverting back to normal growth, stunting is brought on by a natural chemical hormoine the fish/s expell which stunts the exo growth so i would assume that actually a fish that is exposed to it for a short amount of time could revert back to normal exo growth but i am not a biologist or whatever and am merely guessing. i am also curios as to see the outcome of this thread. if its like quiting smoking your get back all the properties of a non smoker but just not all of them like a smoker at half lung capacity may only get back to 3/4 capacity eventually, i dunnno maybe that is how it works, and if the smoker is to far to rejuvinate then he is stuck at half lung capacity forever.

Just a test. There's a reply to this thread and it says 0 on the forum page.
