I have a terror of a rainbow... >.<

Theres two in my 80 gallon for now .. both love swimming against the powerheads current ...

I've slowly been adding plants...

The 'dominant' male is such a trouble maker..
First he tore off all the flowering buds of my hornwort when i added them.. a couple days later i added a ball of java moss (just to farm for now) and he ploughed into it and started tearing it up into little bits ...

Think he'll calm down once i get them some pretty ladies to please?

He needs a school ;)

However, that doesn't necessarily mean he will change his personality, but if there are more fish he'll have a harder time finding someone to thump on and it will give him other things to do. He will probably not be as aggressive or destructive.

What genus type of bow is it? Melanotaenia or Glossolepis? Glossolepis tend to be "meaner" than Melanotaenia, but that's just a rule of thumb.

Roan

they are boesmani rainbows ... so Melanotaenia?

I dunno how pure they are, however. The yellow does have an orange tint to it?

Naughty fishy :)

And non-fish folks think fishes aren't interesting. I've had a few who were as personable as dogs. Sorry, off-topic. I just thought your story was cute.
