PVC cement

I want to glue the pipes for my new tank, but i wanna make sure the cement and primer i bought were safe. I bought Weld-on p-68 primer and Weld-on 2700 pvc cement. Are these safe for aquariums? How long should i wait before filling? should i flush the pipes?

As long as its meant to be used on pipes for drinking water, it should be fine. I just use standard Oatey primer and cement, I think most of it is safe for potable water pipes, which means it should be fine for fish as well.
