i have 6 black skrit tetra in a 15 gallon tank and one truns on its side every time a female is near him. whats his problem?

Those things are mean. They used ti kill all my othe fish! Maybe your male just has the hots for your female.

agreed, mine are not mean at all. I have 7 in my 29 gallon community and they are great. HOWEVER:

I went to a LFS and they had like 20 of them in a 20 gallon tank and they were nipping at each other like crazy. Maybe it was that particular stock or maybe it was just because they did not get enough swimming room. I've put my school together from different stores and never had one problem.

does the fish turn on it's side when only that fish is by it, or does it do it all the time? Could be flashing(sign of ich)

tetra's are community fish, not saying the won't nip...but I haven't ever seen them nip or bother anything.

With the proper set up aggression should be minimal with Black Skirts.

well he truns on his side only when the other one is around i asume. its a sign they breeding good luck :thm:

Responding to you own alter ego posts? Dude, that's SUCH a sign that you need therapy. Really. Hearing voices in one thing--answering them is a problem.
