ram internal bleeding?

hey today my ram got a large red blotch right above his stomach looks almost like hes bleeding inside or something. anyone know what this could be? can this problem/disease spread to other fish?

sounds like Septicemia, poor water conditions

i checked my water today nitrate nitrite and amonia was perfect
or is it something else in the water that does this

could be bacterial, try moving to QT setup and melafix or marycn

but what about the other fish in the tank will it spread to them, should they all be quarantined?

Really depends what it turns out to be, id look at him first, then consider treating the entire tank dependand on diagnosis

hmmm not sure if this helps but my rams (I have a blue and a bolivian) both have pinkish-red areas near their bellies and it appears to be a normal thing for them (had them since purchase and both seem very healthy)

if it's a very dark red I would be concerned.

yeah female rams have the light red stomach but this was dark red
