I would like to more about nutrient dosing, and co2 injection for my 55 gallon tank. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

But before that, I am having problems with nitrite spikes, I had my first one last week (dont remember the exact ppm), did a 50 percent water change, this worked for a few days and it spiked again. What can I do to protect my fish and keep my nitrites low?

how long have you had the tank? was it fully cycled before you added the fish? if not ur tank could still be cycling which is causing the nitrite spike. what kind of filtration do you have? the other reason might be you dont have enough biological filtration in ur tank to keep up with the bioload. what kind of lighting set up do you have? the ludwigia is a high light plant but if you arent pushing 4+ wpg then co2 injection isnt really necissary.

Yes, It was filly cycled, I have a power filter, it came with the tanks, cant think of the specifics, and a ugf. I dont have enough lighting, but the ludwigia is doing great, has almost doubled in size
