Greetings! I have returned to the forum after a several-year hiatus, and have some new fish issues that I have not encountered before! I have a 25 gallon community hex tank (pH 7, temp 78-80, zero NH4, NO2, NO3).
I have recently added some dwarf gouramis and some gold rams (not all at once, of course). One of the gouramis has developed pinkish lumps on its side. One of the rams has a worm-like red line just below it's dorsal fin on the body. (see pictures). Thus far they are eating and behaving normally; in all other ways they appear to be active and healthy fish. Does anyone know what the cause(s) of these are? Can anyone offer a diagnosis/treatment/preventative measure for the future?
I have a hospital tank set up, and if these conditions are treatable, I was wondering if they could be treated simultaneously.
Thanks in advance for your help!
