I was wondering if the silver dollars or the pacu is banned? Please inform since i am debating this issue with someone..

Not as far as I am aware, although I believe Texas does restrict piranhas. There are, however, some changes to Texas law being considered, that could make most tropical fish prohibited within the state.

As you can see, although sliver dollars, genus Metynnis, belong to the family Characidae, their genus is not prohibited....as well, the pacu genera are likewise, not restricted.
