water change question

Do cichlids (Blue Dempsey/Firemouth) get angry when you siphon during water changes?

What I mean is…. Is it okay to take apart their caves to clean the gravel or is it best to leave their caves alone so they don’t freak out???? :dance2:

i clean under rocks and caves on a monthly basis though i change water weekly. if you put everything back pretty much the way it was, they'll be fine.

Ok, I wasn't sure just how territorial they would be.

I guess I won't clean under their caves every water change, just sparingly.

Thats my tactic too and if they become too agreesive with eachother its good to rearange the tank anyway so that there territorys change.
