UV Sterilizers

...so I'm thinking about these things.

Are they actually worth it, or a bunch of gimmicky crap?

What are they really good for, vs. what the marketing claims they're good for?

Recommend me a good one or two for my tanks? (10, 20, 40, 55)

they help prevent algae and depending on the intensity and flow rate can help prevent many diseases. they are usually only used for saltwater so unless you have a reoccurring issue with algae or some disease they arent really worth it for freshwater. i would go with a turbo twist.
