there is no such thing as too much filtration, but there is such a thing as too much current. your fish shouldn't be fighting a current all the time unless it is a river biotope tank with fish that are used to swimming against a strong current.
i ask questions becasue im 14 and new to this you a re probably 30 and been doind this for 10 years.........alright? if it bugs then go away and shut up.
Yes so if your fish are constantly flapping there fins then you have to much current. I have 185 gallons worth of filtration but only 1 75 gal. power-head and my fish do not struggle to stay in one spot.
I think that other poster was referring to your tendancy to add all the /// and stuff to your thread titles. Nothing wrong with asking questions, regardless of your age! Absolutely nothing....the only stupid questions are the ones that dont get asked.
Hopefully your filtration question was answered!
There really isn't such a thing as too much filtration. But, there is such a thing as wasted filtration. You can put so much on that it really doesn't do anything to help the tank. It isn't hurting anything, but it isn't helping.
