What types of fish are compatable with neon tetras? I am having to start my tank over and i am planning on having neon tetra and i was wondering if there ae any other fish that are compatable with them and won't eat them. I had neon tetra in a tank with other tetra and then got eaten. Any suggestions would be great.

you could try other tetras like cardnials, and if your carefull with the water quality you could try rummynoze (they stay around the smae size as neons)
other than tetras you could have platys, a dwarf gourami, corydoras especially, and again with the water quality you could try german glue rams

Now that I've got the Bala Shark (B.S.) syndrome out of my system on to your question. Nearly any of the Tetras should be o.k. and smaller barbs. I've kept Cherry Barbs, Glolights, Cories, Black Skirt, just to name a few. Many live bearers will do alright, Guppies or Platies seem to do fine with them.

Trust me. Kribs, even small ones do not mix with Neons.

I currently have a community tank with neon tetras, platies, an African dwarf frog, and used to have a couple yellow guppies, and they were all fine together, I never observed conflict, except once in awhile the neons nip at each other, but not to any extreme.
