I've had my tank for a few months now, and all I've been doing is my weekly water change and checking the salinity. No nitrate checks, etc. I assume the pictures of these algaes are a bad foreign algae. Please let me know what I need to do or if its ok. Thanks so much!

Actually the algae looks pretty under control. You have some little macro-algae-like things sprouting near the top there but I cant imagine them causing any harm. They may even be tube-worms... do they ever get little "fans" at the top of them?

The larger patch of stuff near the bottom actually looks more sponge-like than algae, but then again you never know what your going to get with marine stuff.

Are those what you were pointing out? Or was it that slime-like stuff that I can barely see in the pic?

Green patch looks like a sponge, small sprouts are macro algae and grow to around 2.5 cm tall or 1 inch. And they need bright light to thrive.
