Dam, buy used if you can..I just bought a 40 gallon with homemade stand with top light and glass hood for $40.00 And in the past I bought a 55 gallon with stand, filter, and everything for $75.00! I am on a budget roll!
I bought 40 gallon/stand = $40 55 gallon/stand/filter = $75

I constantly see good deals in the paper, but I don't have the room or the time to branch out to bigger and more numerous tanks. Kills me when I see a 55g with stand and hood for 75 though.
But mine came with stand and hood and glass tops also..Plus filters..The stands and the tops are worth a lot thou compared to just the aquariumMgamer20o0 said:
be sure that the tank is clean and came from someone trustworthy. sometimes a tank is stained by stuff you can't remove, like copper, which is deadly to fish.
40 gal came with a stand about 10 filters a couple air pumps a couple lighting a couple air pumps.
