I just moved my 2 goldfish from a 6 gal. eclipse to a 12 gal eclipse and I hope I have done all that is necessary to avoid another cycling...
The small tank had been cycled about 14 months...and I set up the larger tank w/ about 75% of the small tanks gravel, a large rock and floated the bio-wheel from the small tank as well...
Lastly, I moved virtually all of the 5 gallons of water from the original tank to the new tank...so far, 6 days, I have not seen any ammonia or nitrites in the new tank...Is there any value in leaving the old bio-wheel still floating in this tank? It seems like this tank is not going to have a cycle at all...
