I just moved my 2 goldfish from a 6 gal. eclipse to a 12 gal eclipse and I hope I have done all that is necessary to avoid another cycling...

The small tank had been cycled about 14 months...and I set up the larger tank w/ about 75% of the small tanks gravel, a large rock and floated the bio-wheel from the small tank as well...

Lastly, I moved virtually all of the 5 gallons of water from the original tank to the new tank...so far, 6 days, I have not seen any ammonia or nitrites in the new tank...Is there any value in leaving the old bio-wheel still floating in this tank? It seems like this tank is not going to have a cycle at all...

If it does cycle it will be very brief. Looks like you did a good job.

well it sounds like you did everything right. As for leaving the bio wheel floating in the tank, you could probably say it's safe to take it out now or in a couple of days from now. Good luck,
