Depends how far south you are. I'm in the Philadelphia area, and I can name a few.

Depending on how far east you are, there are a number of reputable stores over the border in Jersey, along Rt 22, the shark aquarium and pet shanty spring to mind.

Possibly Donovan's Reef in East Stroudsburg ?
the best thing is that it's 5 mins from my house and all the fish are really healthy.. they don't have the biggest selection though.
Other than that I'm not sure, at least in PA anyway.
