I bought a couple of female platies out of a tank with both males and females about 3 weeks ago. I have had 2 fry show up in the tank, and now one of the platies (assuming the mother) is looking a little ill. He tail is slightly collapsed, and her belly looks a little sunken in. All other fish look healthy and water params are perfect. I have heard that sometimes livebearers die after birth. How long will is take to recover (if she will recover), and what can I do to help her along?
