Some of my Blackbelt's eggs have turned white. About five of them. I assume this means they are dead as I don't see any fry swimming around. How long does it take the eggs to hatch? Temp 79 ph 6.8 Thanks.

You are correct about the white eggs. They are gone. Usually the eggs will hatch in 3 to 5 days.

The fry will then be placed in a safe spot and guarded by the parents. They should be free swimming after another 3 days.

I usually remove the fry 3 more days after free swimming. That's about the time you will start to notice them disappear. The parents and other fish will start to pick them off.

After I remove the fry will the parents become less agressive? I am starting to worry about the other fish in the tank. It looks like the pleco might be getting ick, I guess from the stress of being cornered. Is there anything I can do to lower the agression level?
