What food are you feeding you fish with? only specialized commercial fish food or also some regular food that can be bought at the grocery store? If so, what types of food?

Many veggies are good for fish (zucchini, spinach, peas) but which you chose to give you fish will depend on the fish, and what else you feed them.

I feed a weekly diet of mainly staple flakes for 3 days with bloodworm pellets, algae wafers on one other and crushed protien flakes on the last. every other week I dont feed the protein flakes and put in some zucchini instead.

Flakes and Bloodworms for my Betta, swordtails and neons. I also use algae tabs and zucchini for my pleco. Sometimes I culture some live brine shrimp in a 2g bowl with an air stone.

Staple of flakes, and any vegetable, fruit or seafood the fish will eat atleast once a week, provided that I have the seafood/fruit at the time (I usually have only one vegetable and shrimp that I feed to them).

Personally, I like to feed a staple like TetraCichlid flakes 4 days, and space these feedings with frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, and other frozen foods.
