I have a cryptocoryne wendtii plant that was left over from an aquarium after all the fish died. I plucked it out and so far, I have put the plant in a jar of water for the moment. I read that crypts can be grown as water as well as (wet)land plants. So, since I've already dismantled all my aquarium equipment and have the crypt plant just sitting there, could I plant it in a small pot with soil and grow it as a house plant on the windowsill? Or does it need to be submerged a bit (can I grow it in half a vase of water with some gravel left on a windowsill?)
