Just changed over.....

What a job...thank god its done.....I just finished my process of changing over from a 2 1/1 inch crushed coral base to a 4 3/4 inch sand base. I am now in the process of seeding it with the nylons trick. I hope it works like everyone has told me it will. I still can't get used to the look of the bottom of the tank, looks different to the eyes but I KNOW it will be better for the tank. I want to thank everyone that post great information on this site, its because of a few names on here why I decided to change to sand. Thanks again and I will be posting some pictures as soon as I get the tank cleaned up a bit.

good. I recently did the change over, actually went to a bigger tank, which ended up going to a bigger house. But anyways, the nylon trick works good. I left mine in for about 2 weeks. I found that the fish chewed holes and spilled the cc all over, so I would double the nylons or buy good nylons :)

good luck, should be good and you will enjoy it much better with sand, other than its a pain if you move the sand a little it floats onto everything.
