I just added 2 oto cats to my 10gal community tank, when I checked this morning, all the brown algae was gone. Tonight I added two algae wafer pieces, and the neons are nibbling at them, but the 2 platies are devouring them, and getting fat bellies....should I remove the wafers, or wait and see if the otos will eat them?

about 20 mins. maybe

I wonder of fish are like dogs in the sense that they will just eat and eat and eat..........

Roflmao!

I have a dwarf platy who is seriously starting to look like a sphere. I try to feed less, but then the other fish go hungry. She is always the fastest to the food, so I don't know what to do. I try to feed more wafers because she doesn't eat as much of them as the mollies or the black panther platies (I put them in there for shrimp and snails, but the others eat them), but that doesn't seem to help. No idea what to do about her. She is seriously the fattest thing ever.

That is true; fish don't when to stop eating, and will eat and eat an eat like you described it as long as there is food to be eaten.

I took the wafers out right after I last posted.....they were getting too fat, and the otos weren't touching them...I think I'll skip their feeding tomorrow. They won't need to eat for at least a day.
