i've read that white stringy poop can be an indication of internal parasites. it doesn't sound like that flowerhorn is feeling very good. i have meat-eaters, too (loaches, puffers), but their poop is brown like the stuff they eat. i got the poop thing from dwarfpuffers.com forum, but i would think the same applies to fish in general. unfortunately, i have not had to deal with IP's myself, so I can't recommend a treatment. hopefully someone else could help with that.

You can go with prazi---- there are fizzy tablets, medicated food, or drops to put into the food. Another is metranozole, something like that. My dwarf gouramis got all but wiped by possible internal parasites. Sorry I'm not any better on the med names--should get you close enough.

white, stringy poop is generally a sign of internal parasites. if you are feeding normal food the poop should have color..

jungle tabs, parasite clear..it has metro , prazi and acriflavin.

it is designed as a broad spectrum parasite treatment.

if your fish are eating..try jungle anti parasite food. it has metro, prazi and levamisole.

some of the worms(camillanus capillaria) are resistant to prazi and metro ..

they jungle tabs work well and treat the whole tank..1 tab per 10 gallons.

wally world sells the 8 tab pack for about $3
