was sold a pictus cat for my tank... so far I am missing a couple beacon fish and a small tiger barb... and that was just last night.
I think I have him a home but how will he do with larger goldfish in an existing tank?

A pictus cat is tropical and has diffrent requirements than goldfishso I would advise against it. A pictus is a catfish which will eat just about anything that will fit in there mouth. Depending on the type you have the spotted can get to 8 inches and four line can get to a foot in leangth.

ok scratch that plan ... I need to get him out of my only tank and sadly he was rescued from a local supermart of fish dealers ... he was missing a fin and I kinda felt sorry for him .. sales person said he wasnt too agressive *Lies*
kinda running out of options I like to talk about he needs to go

Your local petco will most likely take him and adopt him out to someone for free. Also you can check you LFS many will take fish and give you some kind of store credit for them.
