managuay, as I said before my post and this thread got deleted before, that's exactly why I want to get into cichlids, they have A LOT more personality than my community fish.

Please read this if you think you would like to get into large cichlids like that: http://www.aquahobby.com/articles/e_bigfish.php

yeah he has got me before and it actually drew blood on that last bite on the video. yeah dorkfish they do hav a lot more personality, thats why I got into big cichlids but they are alot more demanding than community fish. Like i said before I will be getting a bigger tank and another filter possably a fluval 405. they are worth it though...
also he is 9 inches and yes i do give him live food but they are quarintiend for 2 weeks. and they only get 5 each and are fed once a month. I think that giving them feeders keeps them psycologically balanced. I dont think there is hard evidence behind this but i notice this by their behaivor lets say that I forget to feed them feeders one month they start to get a lot more aggressive but as soon as they get feeders they calm down. they are predators after all.

It's good that you're quarantining them to check for diseases, but you would have to actively treat for parasites. Since you aren't regularly giving them feeders, you could try and breed your own. I'd recommend convicts since they breed like crazy and they grow relatively quickly.

I tried that once (convict feeders) but i didnt have the heart to keep doing it.

Don't they make some kinda "chew" toy for that? There's something for you to come up with if not :D Chew toy for jags not just for fingers anymore!

Well, I might as well put my reply back also... The movie reminds me a little of my 4.5" blue dempsey that will actually hang onto the end of my finger like he's trying to swallow it! That's bad enough as I look at those four (currently) small teeth in the front of his mouth, but with YOUR fish, you must feel a bit like THIS guy --> :shark:
