pearling where plant is broken...

why is my plant only pearling where the leaves are broken? i bought it 2 days ago and some of the leaves were already broken. it is a rangeri sword.it is pearling where the vein looking things are...

Plants do transport air/oxygen - as to the roots, etc. For true pearling the water must be staruated to supersaturated with oxygen, for this broken stem/tubule bubbling saturation is not required - the gas is not dissolved but already a gas.
