My Filter broke and is no longer working. Can a pleco and 2 mollies be without filtration for one day or I should say overnight?

They should be fine for a day or so. If you have an air pump and air stone hook them up and put them in the tank. This will give you some surface movement to allow oxygen to stay in the water.

Ditto on the airstone. As far as the filter goes, one or two days max. After that get a filter going for them. They need filtered water. Without it your fish will suffer.

Take the filter cartridge out of the filter box and float it in the tank(get the gunk off first :p) . If you can get it to stay over the airstone that would be ideal. This should provide enough oxygen to continue the nitrogen process. I kept my 10 gallon tank this way for a week with no noticable die-off of benificial bacteria.
