Hi all,
I have a common pleco that is only about 3'' long right now, and it keeps taking my elodea shoots out of the gravel. I bought more gravel and it's having a harder time getting them out, but it still manages to get 1-2 out of the gravel a week. I plant them and it keeps taking them out. Any suggestions on how to make the elodea shoots permanent so the pleco can't get it out? Any tricks of the trade are welcome. I am going to be doing a water change this weekend and will try these tricks out so try and respond soon.....Thanks again, Good night, and good luck!!!!

the only advice I have is to place them out of his reach or behind stuff making the planted area too small for him to get to. Plecos are notorious for uprooting plants and a reason why I could never have a planted tank with one.
