Are you limited in size/amount of bulbs? I retrofitted an existing (old) twin tube shoplight fixture for basically the cost of a new electronic ballast (~$15) and 2 new philips daylight deluxe t8 tubes ($7 at Home Depot), that should be right around the 100W range (estimated). Or if you want to spend just a bit more, than use T6 bulbs, will give you higher effeciency and more light.

My twin tube overdriven flourescent retrofit project:http://tristan.homelinux.net/fish/tank/retrofit/index.htm
Concept info at top, retrofit project further down, and still adding more info to the page. The ODNO retrofit should only be done if your somewhat handy with electrical wiring stuff though.

But just putting a T6 bulb in place of a T12 bulb will boost your light significantly, and even better if its an electronic ballast. If you havent heard of a T6 bulb its just a T5 (same as compact flourescent) but uses the standard pin ends to fit T8-T12 common fixtures. So you can have the added effeciency and performance of T5/CF in a regular ol flourescent fixture.

I have brand new 48" PC 4 X 65 watt (260 watts) lunar light fixture with LED moon lights = $275.00 + shipping. Or, brand new 48" 2 X 250 watt HQI MH plus $ X 65 watt PC Acitinic Blues + Moon lights. (Total 760 watts) = $585.00 + shipping.
