A Home for Nemo? 1 gallon bowl? 5 gallon aquarium. I just have this vision in my head of someone buying one of these for their kids, filling it with tap water and buying a clown fish to stick in it. Maybe I'm alone here.

no, your not alone. The only thing walmart knows about fish is that thay can make them money. Especially since fish only tend to live a few weeks to a month

oooh i can just see it
they go to the LFS and buy a clownfish,
LFS guy: "clownfish are saltwater"
Mom: "what? the people at walmart said theyd be just fine in the tank we got with fresh water!"
LFS guy:"how big is the tank?"
Mom: "1 1/2 gallons"
LFS guy: thinks in his head 'you have got to be kidding me' and tells her, "first of all, clownfish need a bigger tank... much bigger. like 20 gallons or more. second, saltwater tanks need much more filtration and a protein skimmer and live rock and live sand, plus synthetic slatwater mix to allow you to make the slatwater itself. third, most marine fish are wild-caught, and it takes experience to get them to eat comercially prepared foods like flakes that a child would be able to eat. since your tank is to small for a clownfish, why not try a goldfish instead? they wont get any bigger then it is now."
Mom: "son go pick out one of the goldfish"
Kid: "ok"
he picks out a 3 1/2" sahasa comet in the pond fish section
LFS guy: you like that one? ok ill get it out for you"
to the mom: "that will be 5.99"
she takes out six dollars and hands it to him and they walk out of the store
