I have a couple fish that are showing fungus spots. One of my neons (spots on tail fin) and one of the platys (spot on tail, just before fin). Three of the neons are showing cloudy eyes too. When treating for fungus, is it necessary to treat the whole tank, or can I move them to a hospital tank for the treatment? I also have 2 otos in the tank, and I know they are especially sensitive to medication. I was planning on using Maroxy. I do two 30% w/c every week. I noticed this occurring since the weather has been cooler, the temp was at a steady 82 for a while, and has been 78 the past few days. These white spots occur only on the tail, and not at all on their bodies, I do not believe this to be ich.
10 gal, moderately planted
2 platys, 2 otos, 5 neons and 1 ADF (getting his own tank soon)
Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate about 7, ph 7.2, temp 78
