I just got a 3 gallon bowl for a betta I will be getting soon, I have a 5-10 gallon power filter on it right now, is it okay to use that filter for only 3 gallons? P.S What happened to the chatroom? Is there any alternative for the mean time?

That filter should be ok, just make sure the current isnt too much for the betta. If it is, you could use a sponge to deflect it.

yup thats great that your using an over powered filter for a 3gal, acually thats prolly the right amount of gph! pic of your tank pls!
