The great crayfish escape!

OMG! Our blue crayfsih has spent at least 8 hours on our balcony after escaping from the tank! He is in a tall pot with a bit of water in it now (after search and rescue), as an article we read suggested. Any other ideas on how to keep our favorite pet alive?

Clean him up and get him some water

Yeah mine escape too & he was out of the tank for a good 6 to 8 hours when I'd found him he was on his back all I did is put him back in the tank and he was fine, so I hope all is well with yours.

i had a crab that would always get out of his tank. i made it so he could get back in. i had to move him. he got of that tank and down the hall maybe 20 feet away. it was really sad. my dad steped on it thinking it was a bug or something. it was dark. so i forgave him.

Thanks for the advice and sharing your stories. Sadly, after we got up this morning we discovered that our friend didn;t make it. :(
