Hi - first post here. Happy to be here
I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a new aquarium which has been running for about a week. Yesterday I tested the water for all the appropriate levels and it was fine, so I bought four neon tetra fish.
They've been in the tank for about 24 hours now, but they're constantly swimming around the bottom of the tank when I thought they were supposed to be surface level fish. When I fed them, they were completely oblivious to the flakes swimming along the surface and would onlt eat if a flake sank to the bottom and they happened upon it.
Is this normal? It goes against what I've read. Should I buy sinking pellets? Or will they learn to swim to the top to get their food?
