Now I have two more, bringing the count up to four. I am saddened by the death of my year old clown. I think the 50% water change I did last week had something to do with it, but I had scraped the heck off of the back of my 55, (which I had let overgrow with algea for my pleco) and wanted to do a thorough cleaning along with a big change before I head out of town this week for a month- stupid on my part! I had also rearranged the tank a bit and I think the whole ordeal stressed him . He was also still pretty small and had a harder time competing with the bigger guys for food and prime hiding areas. Anyway, those things happen and I decided I would go for two of the little guys I have seen at my LFS. Now all four of my clowns are hanging out, not chasing or swimming rou nd and round, just sorta resting on their sides and 'getting to know each other'. Hahah, it does seem like they are, though! When I get back from Az I plan on getting another clown and some more skunks.
I am stoked!!!!

I lost one too. Maybe two. I was doing some maintenance last night and stirred things up a bit. Next thing I know Loach #1 is limping around. Loach #2 is fine. 2 hours later, Loach #1 is still limping, and #2 is on the ground in front of the tank. 1 second later, #2 is in the water, not doing anything. 1 hour later #2 is swimming around, #1 is still limping. This morning, #2 is dead and #1 is still limping. This afternoon, #1 is still limping and #2 is still dead (of course). I like my loaches and have had them for more than a year. Weird and sad...
