New England Abroad.
10 gallon standard
pH 7.4-8.0
sand substrate (possibly mixed with some sort of plant subsrate?)
onion plants 5-6
java moss/fern

i was thinking of adding bogwood with the java, but it would lower the pH too much, right? although, the mollies current tank has a low pH that they have been slowly accustomed to, but what is the correct pH?

marine salt; what is the best salinity?
what is the ideal temp?
if i get a fluval filter, the mollies would have a good amount of waterflow. (intake/return pump) use of airstones/CO2? what hater would work for brackish? hope i covered all the bases. any advice?

The bogwood should not affect the PH too much, but if you concerned I would suggest soaking it in a bucket of water for a week or so to release the tannins. Your PH should be around 7.5-8.2 and the salinity is around 1.005. Your temp should range from 78 to 80 (I have noticed mollies prefer higher temps), but I prefer raising the young in cooler temps to boost their immune system. CO2 is not adviced because it could lower your PH, plus Java moss/fern and onion plants are pretty hardy, even though you could use light amounts of fertilizer. Remeber not to add salt to top off your tank, but when you do a partial water change add salt and measure the salinity. I hope this helps.
