hey guys
i am greatly considering stocking my empty 55gal with malawi peacocks and sorts.
i have a few questions, about compatilibity, buffers, maintaining water parameters, etc and desperately need help!!!
How many malawi can i put into my tank im thinking a dozen? is this too much or too less overstocking?
this is what i am considering putting into my tank
4 aulonocara ruby red (1m,3f)--red
3 Aulonocara baenschi ---yellow
3 Pseudotropheus greshaken--blue
3red finned albino zebras-white
2 maylandia zebras-orange
i am going for malawi set-up with peacocks and other compatiables but are cichlids in my set-up mbuna.
my pH is not acceptable as of now it's about 6.8 what is the best way to raise it. i have normal brown substrate and am taking maybe half of it out and mixing some african subtrate mix into it as well as the filters. then i plan to use buffer and cichlid sea salt.(do u really need sea salt) (does buffer work some say it cause fluctuations because i do weeking water changes)
will amazon swords survive with the pH with the peacocks?
Thank you for your time and advice
