I added a final fish to my 6month running marine tank 3 weeks ago but unfortunally it developed white spots i kept all the fish well fed & now its been 2 weeks & a few other fish have spots some flick at rock but all seem happy but for the last 5 days i`ve been adding garlic to there food is this enough to keep them happy & finally kick white spot in 2 touch are should i treat the tank with an invert coral safe treatment 2 kick it out?
what risk`s are involved by treating the tank?
if any..........
just not happy about treating while all the fish seem happy&the tank been complete :help:

The only true proven cures for Ich are hyposalanity and copper based med's
Both are fatal to the rest of the reef.
That said many people live with ich in there tank.
If the fish are happy and healthy its generall'y not a huge problem.
Just remember though just cause you cant see it doesnt mean it's not there.
I am new to this hobby too & purchased a product called "stop parasites" by Chem Marin ....I have a Purple Tang that is the pride of the tank & I did not want to loose him and was afraid to use copper or stress him out more in a QT....It has worked beautifully....He was COVERED with white spots & one night while I was researching what to do I found this product....It is REEF SAFE....the phone # was on the website 570-654-0298 I called at 10:30 Pm on a Sun night & the OWNER of the company answered my tang was gray instead of purple & I was sure I would loose him.....Al (the owner) called every few days to check on him & make recommendations....There is one small spot left....He is HEALTHY, EATING & PURPLE again!!!! I can't say enough good about this product....Be sure to follow directions & don't give up....The spots WILL disappear before your eyes & Al has the best customer service I have ever experienced....Sue
