ok i feel like a dope, i lost my API test instructions for my master test kit. i rember all of them except nitrate(the one with the most steps). i was wonder if some one could post them so i can finish my test for today. thx and ill keep lookin :dance2:

If you look on the back of the colour cards, it should have picture - instructions there.
my test kit has nitrates where you add 5 drops of one solution then add 1 drop of another until it turns colour and when it turns colour thats how high your nitrates is depending on the drops.
the important thing to remember is shake your reagent everytime you use it and shake it vigorously and shake the vials very well ...

Just happened to have a brand-new API Nitrate test kit...
1. Fill test tube with 5 ml of water.
2. Add 10 drops of #1 solution.
3. Cap and invert several times to mix.
4. Shake #2 test solution bottle for 30 seconds.
5. Add 10 drops of #2 solution.
6. Cap and shake for one minute.
7. Wait 5 minutes.
8. Match colors on chart.
Easy Peasy!

ok yeah now my face is red......i tore my apt apart for about 30min lookin for the instructions, not once did i think to look on back of the card. well thx anyway for the help and i guess i will try a lil harder next time lol. anyway good news is test turnd up roses.

Since roses are red does that mean your Nitrates are super high!?! :p:
